Description
The Viking Pump 4197 Series™ is a Motor Speed Product Line stainless steel internal gear pump designed for continuous or intermittent duty in corrosive, chemical, and petroleum service. The casing is manufactured from ASTM A743 Grade CF8M stainless steel, and internal pumping gears are constructed from Type 316 and Type 770 Stainless Steel alloy, enabling non-galling high-speed operation across a wide pH range. The positive displacement internal gear principle delivers smooth, consistent flow with minimal pulsation.

- One-piece casing ensures alignment for maximum bearing and seal life
- Pressure-lubricated idler pin extends idler pin/bushing life on thin liquid applications (AS, AK, AL sizes)
- Integral over-pressure relief valve standard — head-mounted (GG, HJ, HL) or casing-mounted (AS, AK, AL)
- Mechanical seal standard: self-adjusting positive-drive PTFE construction — carbon graphite rotating face, silicon carbide stationary seat, stainless steel spring; suited for solvents and alcohols
- Class 150 ANSI flanged ports standard on all sizes — easy in-line mounting to almost any piping system
- Direct-connected to 50 Hz or 60 Hz motors via flexible coupling with guard on steel base (D-drive units)

- Temperature Range: 0 to +350 °F (−20 to +175 °C); extra clearances required above 225 °F (107 °C)
