Description
The FIG 922 combines pressure vacuum venting and an audible overfill alarm through one 2″” or 3″” opening. Installed atop the vent pipe, it allows breathing during filling/dispensing while whistling when liquid reaches a preset level. The fully mechanical design eliminates dependency on electricity or batteries for safe operation.
Features
- Dual-function: pressure vacuum vent and overfill alarm through a single tank opening
- 105–120 dB whistle alarm (measured at 1 ft with a 90 GPM fill rate)
- Fully mechanical — no electricity or batteries required
- Alarm activation level adjustable by setting float cable length
- Installs on top of vent pipe, typically 12 ft above grade
- Minimum fill rate of 20 GPM required for alarm to operate
- Stainless steel float and screens; FKM seals; PTFE ball
Applications
- Aboveground atmospheric storage tanks
- Fuel storage and dispensing facilities requiring combined venting and overfill detection
- Sites where electrical overfill sensors are impractical or undesirable
Certifications
- Florida DEP EQ 227
- Designed for use on tanks built to UL 142, NFPA 30 & 30A, and API 650
