Description
Duplex Fuel Transfer Skid provides fully redundant fuel transfer capability through two independent pump sets mounted on a single structural steel skid with integrated bunded containment. In normal operation, the lead pump automatically maintains day tank levels; should the lead pump fail or demand exceed capacity, the lag pump starts automatically — ensuring continuous fuel supply to critical equipment. All pipework, instrumentation, and controls are factory-assembled and tested prior to dispatch, reducing commissioning time and risk on site.
Features
Pump & Mechanical
- Dual self-priming positive displacement gear pumps — lead and lag configuration
- Automatic lead/lag pump changeover on low fuel level or pump fault
- Manual pump selection override for maintenance and testing
- Dedicated inlet isolation valve, outlet isolation valve, and check valve per pump
- Shared or individual inline fuel strainer/filter with clog indication
- Bypass pressure relief valve per pump — protects against overpressure
- Flexible hose connections to reduce vibration transmission
- Inlet vacuum gauge and outlet pressure gauge per pump, with isolation valves
Skid & Containment
- Structural steel skid frame — hot-dip galvanized or epoxy powder-coated finish
- Integrated bunded drip tray with base pan leak sensor and drain point
- All pipework hard-piped in Schedule 40 carbon steel with malleable iron fittings
- Factory pressure tested and function tested prior to dispatch
- Weatherproof enclosure option for outdoor installation
Control & Electrical
- Integrated NEMA 4X control panel with door-interlocked disconnect switch
- Individual HOA (Hand/Off/Auto) selector per pump
- Motor starters with thermal overload relay per pump
- Power-on and pump-running indicator lights per pump
- Automatic start/stop via external level signal (float switch or 4–20mA)
- Pump fault and low-level alarm outputs for external BMS/SCADA integration
- No-flow / loss-of-flow alarm
- Running time meters per pump for maintenance scheduling
- All wiring terminated to clearly labelled terminal block for site connection
Applications
- Redundant diesel transfer from bulk storage to generator day tanks
- Fuel oil supply for boilers and burners in commercial and industrial buildings
- Mission-critical data center and hospital generator fuel systems
- Mining and construction site high-demand fuel distribution
- Any application requiring continuous, uninterrupted fuel transfer
