Description
The FIG 710FSS are normally closed, hung piston flanged solenoid valves in 304 stainless steel with PTFE seals, designed for anti-siphon protection on fuel pipelines. The valve opens upon receipt of an electronic signal and closes automatically when removed. Installed in a horizontal pipeline in the upright position.
Features
- Normally closed, hung piston design
- Flanged connections
- Zero pressure differential operation
- Integral thermal relief — relieves expansion pressure in the opposite direction of flow
- Continuous duty Class H coil, standard 120V/60Hz; optional voltages available
- Recommended for liquids with maximum viscosity of 60 centistokes
- 100 mesh strainer recommended at valve inlet
- Install in horizontal pipeline in upright vertical position
- 304 stainless steel body; FKM and PTFE seals; stainless steel piston (3/4″”–2″”) or aluminum piston (3″”)
- Solenoid housed in integral watertight explosion-proof shell
- NEMA 3, 4X, 7, and 9 enclosure rating; Groups C and D
- 710FSM: manual override for operation during power outage — available 3/4″” to 2″”
Applications
- Dispensing side of fuel system pipelines on aboveground storage tanks
- Anti-siphon protection against downstream pipe fracture or leak
- Installations requiring stainless steel construction and flanged connections
- Hazardous location installations requiring explosion-proof solenoid valves
