Description
FLOMEC® RT14 Rate Totalisers compute and display resettable batch totals, accumulated totals, and instantaneous flow rate from pulse-output flow meters. Its 4–20mA analogue output, scaled pulse signal, and configurable flow alarms allow seamless integration with PLCs, SCADA, DCS, and PID control systems in both safe-area and hazardous-area applications efficiently.

- Backlit 8-digit alphanumeric LCD (12 mm characters) — backlight requires external DC or loop power
- Two totals: resettable batch total and non-resettable cumulative total; 5-digit instantaneous flow rate display
- Universal pulse/frequency input — compatible with reed switch, NPN/PNP sensors, variable reluctance coils (turbine meters), and Wiegand sensors
- 10-point linearisation for improved accuracy with positive displacement and turbine meters
- 4–20mA analogue output (12-bit, ±0.05% FS at 25 °C); loop powered; over-ranges to 22 mA for fault detection
- One configurable digital output: scaled pulse, unscaled pulse, high alarm, low alarm, or high/low alarm (NPN or isolated output)
- Quadrature input for bi-directional flow measurement (with suitable meter)
- Flow rate time base selectable: per second, minute, hour, or day
- Selectable engineering units: L, mL, US gal, Imp gal, m³, qt, kg, lb, or custom
- PIN-protected flowchart touch-key programming with plain English on-screen prompts
- Reverse polarity protection; nonvolatile memory retains settings and totals
- Battery life approx. 5 years (AA 3.6V Lithium Thionyl Chloride); also external DC (8–24V) or loop powered
- Robust IP66/67 / NEMA4X glass-reinforced nylon (PA6) enclosure with rubberised buttons and polycarbonate screen protector
- Direct meter mount on OM, DP, and TP series meters; also wall, pipe, and panel mountable (kits available separately)
- Optional intrinsically safe version: IECEx/ATEX EEx ia IIB T4
